Experience the thrill and beauty of soaring across Vallarta's jungle canopy at speeds up to 30 miles per hour! This unique and exciting 4 ½ hour tour provides a bird's-eye view of indigenous plant and animal life as you ride from treetop to treetop on a series of 14 Ziplines, the longest being 400 meters (1,312 feet). Ziplines, affectionately called "Banana Split," "Speedy Gonzalez," and "The Big Enchilada," gradually take you higher and faster until the final cable shoots you over river rapids at speeds of approximately 30 mph to a riverside palapa bar. Expert guides meet you at each cable run. After the tour, you can relax and have a scrumptious Mexican lunch at Pancho's Jungle Restaurant overlooking the river, try out the water slides or swim in this lush tropical location (including rope swings, a waterfall and a water slide), sample varieties of Tequila from the bar, meet the resident python and even purchase a video or photo of your actual tour to remember your experience forever! Your adventure at Los Veranos Canopy Tours begins as our friendly, bilingual driver picks you up and takes you on a complimentary scenic drive along the southern coast of Banderas Bay and up the mountain on your way to our Canopy location at Los Veranos. From our air-conditioned vans or open-air Mercedes jungle cruiser, you'll enjoy fantastic views of lovely beaches, palatial ocean-side villas and the craggy monoliths of Los Arcos, one of the most recognized landmarks in Puerto Vallarta. Upon arriving at Los Veranos, our staff will give you a detailed safety briefing, taking you step by step through your upcoming canopy tour before securing you in a professional climbing harness. A short five minute walk through the tropical jungle foliage brings us to a spiral staircase that rises safely to the first platform, where you are tethered while awaiting your turn. The first three cables are practice runs, designed to slowly introduce you to the zip lines and inspire confidence. Using the highest quality safety equipment, you will gently glide on a steel cable to the first tree platform. You will enjoy breathtaking views of the jungle canopy and forest floor. Expert guides on each end of the cable will put you at ease and soon any fear of heights you may have melts into the beauty of your surroundings. Very few people get a chance to experience this kind of encounter with nature. As you zip from tree to tree on a total of 14 cables, the magical wonders hidden from the ground are revealed - the longest cable is 400 meters long! At the end of the day you can relax in the river and enjoy the natural water slides or enjoy a delicious Mexican meal or specialty drinks at our restaurant. Photographs and videos of your canopy experience will be available for purchase along with souvenirs and Mexican handicrafts at out gift shop.
