For all you thrill seekers looking for an adrenalin rush. The 6 hour Cuale Mountain Expedition is an experience you don’t want to miss. The excursion starts with a scenic ride up the mountain on our transports. You will experience the differences between the city of Puerto Vallarta and the mountainous outskirts of the city. As you ride further up into the Sierra Madre Mountains, you will find yourself following the Cuale River winding up into the mountains with its cool crystal clear water. Nestled at the top of the mountain is Canopy River Expedition. From here you will be lead into the forest of the Sierra Madre Mountains, by some of the most experienced and friendly expedition guides. You will get your first shot of adrenalin as you zip line across a gorge, from one mountain side to the other. As you hike deeper into the forest you will be captivated by the beautiful sights of all the different plants, and very diverse wild life. Then you are challenged to cross over two suspension bridges, as you make your way across the side of the mountain where it leads you to the edge of a cliff from which you will rappel 27 meters down the face of the cliff or free fall 24 meters to the path below, where you will zip line across, over and into the Cuale River. As you hit the cool crystal clear water will cool and refresh your whole body. Once refreshed, you will jump out of the river and into an inner tube. Where you will let the river carry you down stream, enjoying the scenery of the mountains around you. Once you get down river, the last part of your journey will be on mule. As the mule makes its path up the mountain and through the forest, you will have an unbelievable view of the Sierra Madre. The mules will bring you back to Canopy River, where you can have a well deserved lunch and ice cold drink at Los Cuapinoles Restaurant. Or lay back and relax on the hammocks or sun bath in our wicker chairs. Take advantage of the tequila tour that is available at Canopy River.
