Tour Description

Set off from the orchid-lined expanses of the Puerto Vallarta Botanical Gardens on a jungle ATV expedition through the rain forest south of Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. After expert bi-lingual guides explain how to use our brand new, FULLY AUTOMATIC 350cc Yamaha ATVs & some basic precautions, we head out to the small Mexican village of Las Juntas y Veranos, passing seasonal waterfalls on the way. Here, we'll get wet splashing through the rivers, see wildlife such as donkeys, cows, chickens, turkeys, exotic birds, bulls, AND more in their natural environment, & get a glimpse of the real mexico and how the locals live on a day to day basis.. After conquering backroad trails we make our way to the most respected & renowned tequila factory in all of Puerto Vallarta. This family-owned Don Chendo tequila factory not only makes their own tequila right there, bottles it there, but most importantly, we get to sample it there! The bi-lingual tequila guides give us an in-depth explanation on how the tequila is made, all the way from the planting of the blue agave plant, and also shows us how to find a bottle of good tequila in the stores back home. They offer samples of roasted almond tequila liquor, chocolate coffee & vanilla liquor, white tequila, reposado tequila (5-11 months in barrel), & anejo tequila (up to 2 years in the barrel), so you are sure to find a taste that suites you. You'll be so surprised by the difference in quality, no salt or lime is needed!
Continue through livestock-lined backroads to Los Veranos, home of the famous canopy tour, where we'll visit their petting zoo, full of local Vallarta wildlife including monkeys, iguanas, tropical birds, a huge python, and even creepy-crawlies like scorpions and tarantulas. A trained animal expert helps you feed and hold these animals yourself, making for great photo opportunities!
Not far down the road, we'll visit the famed Chico's Paradise, where we'll watch cliff divers thrill us with acrobatics, then cool off by body surfing the river and plunging over a waterfall slide to a pool 5 feet below. Exciting and fun! Then it's back to the Botanical Gardens, where we can enjoy a delicious meal at the Plantation Restaurant, featuring views over the valley below.
In this tour you get to see all the tourist hot spots, rural Mexican neighborhoods, & experience a side of Vallarta that you would never see in town, all in one tour!
This excursion departs from our ATV office located in Colonia Emiliano Zapata. Details will be provided upon booking your reservation. Transportation to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens departure sight will be arranged or provided from our office in Puerto Vallarta.

Is This Trip For You?
Must be at least 16 years old with a valid drivers license to drive. Children 4-10 ride free. Our ATVs are fully automatic with no clutch or changing gears, little or no experience is required to operate our ATVs. The trails that we choose are not at expert level, they are safe for first time riders and children riding as passengers.
Food
Food is not included in the tour price. The Plantation House Restaurant offers a variety of tasteful food including home-made brick oven pizzas & authentic mexican food. Time for breakfast or lunch can be arranged at the beginning or the end of the tour.
Money
All of our stops on this tour do accept Visa or Mastercard. The exchange rate for american dollars to pesos at our office is 14 to 1 but subject to change.

Transportation
Transportation to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens departure sight can be arranged or provided from our office in town. The Botanical Gardens are located at Km. 24 marker, approximately half an hour south of Puerto vallarta. on the "Carretera to Barra de Navidad" highway 200, the only road that goes south of PV. You can arrive by bus by catching the bus to "El Tuito" at the corner of Carranzas and Aguacate street, in the Romantic Zone which leaves every half hour or so. This bus will return you to PV . Bus fare is 15 pesos each way. The meeting spot will always be at the entrance to the Botanical Gardens. If you are going to need assistance with transportation please contact us before.
