Scuba Expedition Chimo 
Chimo Scuba Expedition Only for Scuba Divers with 30 Logged Dives
Chimo is the last authentic fisherman’s village located on the southern end of the Banders Bay and the area is great to dive all year round.
It would be no surprise to dive with 4 to 8 Mantas in a single tank during the months of June, July & August. Chimo’s is considered the Manta capital of Mexico, not to mention the unbelievable amount of sea life surrounding every site.
A few of the Dive sites you may encounter:
Torecillas Afuera: The largest cleaning station in the entire bay, the reef is an underwater mesa like structure about ¼ miles in diameter. From this plateau, many pinnacles rise to the surface in form of small towers (torrecillas’) The outside face presents a sharp slope and the visibility reaches up to 80 ft during the summer months.
Torecillas Adentro: The inside face presents the same structure with a sand bottom in 40 ft of depth. The site is teeming with damsels and huge schools of snappers, yellow tail surgeons, king angels, butterflies, cornets, parrots and new guinea puffers … great site for photo and video.
Potrerillo: This is a small pinnacle located 2 miles further south, very much like Torecilla Afuera with an endless school of yellow tail surgeons. Because this pinnacle is quite small it makes for great interaction with Mantas.
La Inglesias: this spectacular bajo de Las Inglesias is located 1 mile off shore. This is the furthest site we dive and one of our favorite advanced dives, with depths ranging from 120 to 45 ft.
Our favorite boat to service this trip is a 33 ft mono hull powered by 2-250 h.p. yamaha outboards, the Bottom Time is the best dive boat of it’s type in all Vallarta, has the best stability, unmatchable comfort and it is fast . Totally carpeted and 100% shaded, all safety regulations including Oxygen, first aid kit, life jackets, radio and on-board insurance.

Conditions June to December U/W Visibility 30 to 100 ft Temperature 78 to 85 (F)
