Majahuitas is located along the Southern Side of the Bay where the Sierra Madre mountainside extends directly into the ocean forming lovely multi level walls covered in coral growth. The tour to Majahuitas Cove is only accessible by boat providing some of the bay’s best diving and snorkeling year round.
Commonly adrift you will find the largest schools of yellow tail surgeon & parrot fish in the area. You will be able to meet the zebra & golden spotted moray eels, turtles, eagle rays, striped butterflies, cornets, puffers, sergeant majors, giant damsels, barber fish, groupers and great pacific mantas pass by all the time as well. One can literally pick any spot along this coast line and encounter an abundance of small, tropical life feeding off the shallow reefs and rock formations.
The best spot on the south side of the bay has to be the tranquil, clear waters just off the beach of
Majahuitas Cove. Shallow reefs and wall formations set the stage for what is considered a perfect start to a wonderful day of snorkeling/diving adventure.
A safe and fun combination of sea and land activities ranging from scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, kayaking, parasailing, Jet Ski, banana ride, water ski, sunbathing and relaxing under a palapa’s tropical shade along the white sand beach at Las Animas beach right next to an ice cold corona…..And just when you think it doesn’t get any better…. It’s lunch time!! And check out our menu…
The Shrimp Cocktail, Garlic Mahi Mahi, Whole Red Snapper on the grill, Mexican Sashimi on Tortilla Shells, Fish Tacos, Chicken Tacos, Cheese Quesadillas, Fish Burritos, Chicken Burritos, Beef Burritos, Chicken Breast, Hamburger W/Fries or the Nachos Plate. All dishes served with Mexican rice, beans & steam vegetables.
When lunch is over and we are all once more aboard, we invite you to be our guest at the bar, as we
make our way back to Puerto Vallarta.
So there you have it: a complete and memorable outing for every member of the family, divers and non-divers alike, there is something for everyone to enjoy!
Divers and Snorkelers go out on the same trip, so if your companion would prefer snorkeling, please be sure to check out our Snorkeling Majahuitas tour.
